Educating kids in Pune

Young widows are always a painful sight to see, especially Kaveri Mahajan, 33 years old. She is struggling to provide quality education to her two kids. She works at a clinic run by a social organisation which pays her 9k per month as salary. Both her kids go to govt school so fees are taken care. But she needs to pay for stationary and tution fees as school teaching has some limitations. Her need for this year is 20k.
Pratiksha 19 stays in Kondhwa area of Pune with working mother andΒ father who is kind of bed ridden due to surgery. She is strong, confident and positive girl having 5 female siblings, with a dream to come out of current dire situation with the help of education. Shivprabha believes, we should guide her in terms of doing some skill development courses like nursing, which could make her financially stable.
Pratiksha comes from a typical lower middle class family, where the father has given upon supporting them. They would need a total 30k for annual fees, to continue the education of five sisters. The situation at home is grim. Father seems to be irresponsible person making excuse of aΒ small injury. Mother with these girls are striving hard to make the living. Family total monthly income is 12k with 6k in rent only. In terms of support, three daughters would like to pursue graduation in commerce while youger two are in 9th and 5th.
